宋達民與洪百榕夫妻兩日前在八大《美味搜查線》介紹美食，愛台味的宋達民與嗜吃美式食物的洪百榕，兩人總為「吃什麼」而吵架；宋達民笑說，剛結婚時兩人為「吃」吵最凶，常常開車晃了２小時都在找餐廳。

洪百榕在美國留學過５年，愛上西式料理；宋達民因為家中媽媽有好手藝，喜歡吃中餐；兩個小孩則在媽媽影響下，也喜歡吃漢堡、披薩，所以一家人常「各吃各的」。兩人結婚11年，直到這１、２年才達成共識，星期一、三、五跟著洪百榕吃，二、四、六則是宋達民。

另外，掌管家中帳務已10年的洪百榕，日前因暈眩住院，提領現金的工作則落到宋達民身上，但他居然不知道提款卡密碼，也不知家裡的錢都存在哪個銀行，讓他急得不斷追問金錢流向，洪百榕笑說：「被他追問到好像我要走了一樣。」
